My daughter was brought into the emergency room on Saturday. We did not know the nature of her illness. My daughter is autistic and is nonverbal. She can't tell us what hurts so we have to keep a close eye on her. From the time we entered the ED everyone from triage, to the nurse was nothing but patient and caring with her. They were mindful that she could not speak and were very professional. My daughter was admitted into the hospital and exceptional care continued. Although the entire staff was great, I do want to call out an exceptional caregiver. Our day nurse "Winky". She has not only been patient with our daughter but she has gone above and beyond to make the family comfortable too. She is extremely kind and gentle with our daughter. She recognized that our daughter was uneasy with the blood pressure cuff so she changed her approach which helped us to get her readings. She took great care when sticking her with needles to draw blood. My wife and I felt that she really cared about our daughter which eased our stress tremendously. She is a true asset to this hospital.
